Elvis Presley Sheet Cake Recipe

 This classic dessert combines a moist cake, a sweet pineapple topping, and a rich cream cheese frosting for a decadent treat fit for the King himself!



Ingredients

Cake:

1 box (18.25 oz) white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)

1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice

1/2 cup butter, softened

2 cups white sugar

Frosting:

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon 

vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.


Prepare cake:

Follow the instructions on the cake mix box, adding the crushed pineapple with juice to the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.


Cool the cake: Let the cake cool completely in the pan.


Make the frosting:

In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Fold in the chopped pecans.


Assemble the cake:

Once the cake is cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top.

Tips:

For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar in the cake batter.

You can substitute chopped walnuts or almonds for the pecans in the frosting.

To make the cake even more decadent, drizzle melted chocolate or caramel sauce over the top of the frosting.
